Help buy books for our school library!

A Portion of our proceeds will also purchase books for a group home in India for children from families affected by teh tsunami. There will be stories, games, fitness fun, and more! Plus, Delaware Auto Racin by Chad and Wayne Culver book signing at 2 PM.

 Beginning with the month of October the Delmar School District will be offering extended hours of service to parents, guardians, care-givers and students.  For the 2011-2012 school year the Main office, the Media Center and the Guidance Suite will be open until 7:30PM on the second Monday of each month (with the exception of April 2012).

All visitors will be required to have a student enrolled in the school district and will report directly to the main office. Visitors will be required to sign-in and state the purpose of their visit. Upon leaving each visitor will also be required to sign out.Mark your calendars for our final one for this school year:

Child Abuse

In 2000, Delaware embarked upon a mission entitled, Darkness to Light. This organization was created as a nonprofit with the mission of reducing the incidence of child sexual abuse through public awareness and education. With tremendous community support, over $100,000 was raised and an award-winning media campaign was developed and launched in June of 2001. For further information, please click here.

Registered Offenders

According to 11 Del.C. § 4121(t)(1), which requires the School District to maintain a binder in the District Office containing community notifications regarding sex offenders that the District has received, and also requires the School District to notify parents and staff "frequently" through regular communication channels of the availability and location of the binder.  The binder is to be available for review upon request by adults and by juveniles with adult supervision.

As a bi-state school district, the binder includes the demographics for our area, which includes Delmar, DE, and MD, and Laurel, DE, since there are areas of Laurel that are included in our school district demographics.

The binder is housed in the Superintendent's office.  For additional information, please contact the Delmar School District office.

The Delaware Bullying Prevention Association's mission is to reduce and to eliminate occurrences of bullying among Delaware's children and adolescents in and out of the school setting through prevention and intervention methods and education programs.
